- Summary of cultural factors/issues to consider as the social worker. This section should be 4-5 pages and follow APA formatting (citation, references, etc.)- This will require some research and investigation.At least 3 peer-reviewed resources should be used to support your description and understanding of the cultural issues impacting your family system, as well as how a social worked might best intervene within that cultural system.
- Answer these questions:- Considering your family system, generally describe cultural norms/values that may impact family members- For example, what are traditional values of the culture the family members have experiences/been a part of?
- Given traditional cultural values/norms, are there issues that might be impacting the family as traditional values conflict with other things happening in the family system?- How might you prepare yourself to address those issues?
- Complete a brief search of programs/supports that are in our community which could potentially support the family system – what are they? .)- It is not expected that sources regarding local programs/supports will be evidence-based resources but they should be citied and referenced appropriately.
