The thesis clearly and concisely states the position, premise, or hypothesis and is consistently the focal point throughout the presentation. Demonstrates a sophisticated understanding and careful, critical analysis of the research topic and thesis (argument). Compares/contrasts perspectives, considers counter arguments or opposing positions, and draws original and thoughtful conclusions with future implications.10 ptsAccomplishedIdentifies/addresses a relevant topic and a thesis that provides adequate direction for the content with some degree of interest for the reader. The thesis states the position, premise, or hypothesis, and is the focal point of the paper for the most part. Demonstrates an understanding and some critical analysis of the research topic and thesis (argument). Adequately compares/contrasts perspectives, counter-arguments, or opposing positions but broader connections and/or implications are not as thoroughly explored5 ptsDevelopingIdentifies a research topic but may be too broad in scope and/or the thesis is somewhat unclear and needs to be developed further. Focal point is not consistently maintained throughout the paper. Demonstrates general understanding with limited critical analysis of the research topic and thesis (argument). Summarizes perspectives, counter-arguments, or opposing positions.0 ptsUnsatisfactory - BeginningFails to identify a relevant research topic or is not clearly defined and/or the paper lacks focus throughout. Demonstrates a lack of understanding and inadequate analysis of the research topic and thesis. Analysis is superficial based on opinions and preferences rather than critical analysis.15 ptsThis criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeDecision Making and Clinical Reasoning15 ptsExemplaryProvides compelling and accurate evidence to support in-depth analysis to the central position beyond the required (2) research sources with at least 1 source from a periodical database. Research sources are highly relevant, accurate, recent (less than 5 years old) and reliable and add to the strength of the content.10 ptsAccomplishedProvides essential, accurate evidence to support the central position with the required (2) research sources including 1 source from a periodical database that are mostly relevant, accurate, recent (less than 5 years old) and reliable.5 ptsDevelopingProvides some evidence to support the central position with less than 2 acceptable research sources. Some sources may not be relevant, accurate, and reliable, greater than 5 years old and may not be from scholarly sources.0 ptsUnsatisfactory - BeginningLacks sufficient research sources to support the central position and/or, if included, are generally not relevant, accurate, or reliable. Contains numerous factual mistakes, omissions, or oversimplifications.15 ptsThis criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeOrganization & Presentation15 ptsExemplaryContent is effectively organized. Ideas are arranged logically, flows smoothly, with a strong progression of thought from paragraph to paragraph connecting to the central position. Includes all required components (introduction, body, conclusion, citations, references, etc.). For a slide presentation, the design, font size, style, and spacing are optimal for audience viewing10 ptsAccomplishedContent is adequately organized. Ideas are arranged reasonably with a progression of thought from paragraph to paragraph connecting to the central position. Includes required components of an introduction, body, and conclusion. For a slide presentation, one or more components of the design, font size, style, and spacing may be less than ideal for audience viewing.5 ptsDevelopingContent is somewhat organized. For a paper, occasionally ideas from paragraph to paragraph may not flow well and/or connect to the central position or be clear as a whole. May be missing a required component and/or components may be less than complete. For a slide presentation, multiple aspects of the design require further development for optimal audience viewing.0 ptsUnsatisfactory - BeginningContent lacks logical organization and impedes readers’ comprehension of ideas. For a paper, central position is rarely evident from paragraph to paragraph and/or the paper is missing multiple required components. For a slide presentation, the design lacks clarity for optimal viewing by an audience.15 ptsThis criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeWriting and APA Formatting15 ptsExemplaryContent is well written and uses standard English characterized by elements of a strong writing style. Basically, free from grammar, punctuation, spelling, usage, or formatting errors. APA guidelines for formatting are consistently followed. Includes in-text citations and references that are written correctly.10 ptsAccomplishedContent shows above average writing style and clarity in writing using standard English. Minor errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, usage, and/or formatting. APA guidelines for formatting are present. In-text citations are present but may not be complete or correctly formatted. References are written using correct APA format5 ptsDevelopingContent shows an average and/or casual writing style using standard English. Some errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and word usage. Use of APA guidelines are generally present, however are incorrectly formatted.0 ptsUnsatisfactory - BeginningContent shows a below average/poor writing style lacking in elements of appropriate standard English. Frequent errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and word usage. Lacks elements required in writing a formal APA paper: title page, references, in-text citations, headers.15 ptsTotal Points: 60

Conclusion

APA format is followed throughout the paper. Uses in-text citations and references correctly. The paper has an introduction and conclusion.  Spelling, grammar, and organization are appropriate, professional, and correct.

“A conclusion works to remind your reader of the main points of your paper and summarizes what you want your reader to ‘take away’ from your discussion. Consider these tips when writing your conclusion: Begin with your rephrased thesis statement to remind your reader of the point of your paper. Summarize the points you made in your paper and show how they support your argument; tie all the pieces of your paper together.  Tell your reader what the significance of your argument might be. Why is the discussion important? Do you want your reader to think differently, question something, or perform some action? Make a recommendation of what your reader should ‘do’ with the information you just gave them, or share the importance of the topic” (Ashford University, 2019).

Why suicides happen, particularly in prosperous and healthy societies, has puzzled social scientists for decades. When sociologists talk about suicide, they are likely to include Durkheim’s work in their discussion. In Section One of the Social Theory Re-wired text, you should read Emile Durkheim’s “Suicide,” what the Sociology - Émile Durkheim (Links to an external site.) video, and also read the following summary (Links to an external site.) to help you grasp the causal factors and three concepts of suicide Durkheim presents in his greater work. Then, listen to the Freakonomics podcast (Links to an external site.). (If you are not familiar with the Freakonomics podcast, it is created by a journalist and an economist, who both use economics to debunk commonly held beliefs about why the world is the way it is.) If you have any issues listening to the podcast, there is a link to the transcript of the recording in the third paragraph below the podcast link.

For your Final Paper

Present one (1) scholarly resource which provides evidence or support of this.
- Which of the three concepts of suicide (as presented by Durkheim) is your chosen fact most aligned to? Present the concept and explain why. If you believe it isn’t aligned explain why not.
- The video presents nine ways that Durkheim’s work and recent research has linked societal influence to suicide. Does your chosen fact relate to any of these?
- Finally, explain how classical social theory like Durkheim’s work is useful and valuable to modern researchers, theorists and social policy makers.

Your paper must be five to six double-spaced pages in length (not including the title and reference page) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Writing Center. Chapter 12: Capital Investment Decisions

Length of Initial Postings: Students will read the assigned textbook chapters from the Managerial Accounting textbook each week. Then they will then post three (3) substantive postings that they found interesting in each assigned textbook chapter. For example, if there are two (2) chapters assigned for Week 2, students will read each chapter and provide three (3) substantive postings for each individual chapter (total of 6 substantive initial postings for Week 2).

Initial Postings Must be Substantive: In order for each individual initial posting to be substantive, the students will provide, in their own words, a paragraph that is a minimum of four (4) sentences long for each topic (3 topics/paragraphs per textbook chapter). The posting paragraph must inform or even teach the reader about the concept they found interesting in their own words. Therefore, for each textbook chapter, the student will provide a minimum of three (3) full substantive paragraphs in their own words on different topics they found interesting or new. A key aspect of applying various therapeutic approaches in Gestalt Group Therapy has to do with different experimentation. Gestalt therapy likes to focus on moving from talking about issues to creating actions for change. Experiments allow group members to practice these new behaviors in a safe and trusting environment.

Review some of the techniques/experiments in chapter 11 as listed below and CHOOSE ONEfor this assignment.

- Experiments with Internal Dialogues
- Making the Rounds
- Fantasy Approaches
- Rehearsal
- The Exaggeration Technique
- Dream Work in Groups

1) Choose an Experiment - From the list above, choose one of these experiments to conduct with a "client." While it would be nice for you to practice with a small group of individuals, you are only required to practice one of these techniques with one individual. So find another willing friend, family member, or coworker to be your fake client! Some of these exercises might require that you use a "group," such as Making the Rounds. Reminder that it is important to practice applying these types of theories instead of simply reading about them!

2) Conduct Mock Experiment - Please know that you are on the Honor System to ensure that you conduct an actual mock experiment in this Advanced level Direct Practice concentration where experience and practice are key!

- Practice introducing the experiment to your "client" and explain what they will be doing and why
- Complete Gestalt experiment of your choice from the list
- Provide appropriate feedback to your client
- Then practice closing your session by recapping and summarizing what was learned

3) Report on Your Experience - Provide a written summary of your experience in APA format. - 30 points

- Provide insight into your client such as their age, gender, occupation, etc. but no name should be given.
- Make sure you have headers to clearly identify and clarify the different sections covered.
- Cite your information within your paper when you reference information you used from the text as I will be looking to see where you took the information learned and applied it to your experiences.
- Your summary should identify what you did, how it went, and your thoughts/reflections on the process as well as your performance. Did it go well? Where there areas you could improve on? Did you like the experiment? Do you feel it would be beneficial? Is there anything your would change? How would you use this with an entire group versus just an individual?
- part 2
- As you read last week, our services have changed drastically since the Pandemic began. Many agencies and individual Social Workers began conducting teletherapy for the first time. There have of course been positive and negatives to moving to remote services. Listen to the following guidelines for implementing teletherapy and then post a 150 word reaction/response to the Discussion Board (DB). In addition to your general reactions/thoughts, be sure to answer the following questions:- What do you think are the advantages of teletherapy for our clients?
- As a remote student, do you think services are effective when delivered remotely?
- What are some of the major concerns or disadvantages of teletherapy?Ep.52: Tips for Successfully Implementing TeletherapyPlease remember Discussion Board Posts are considered academic writing and will be evaluated as such. Your response should be in paragraph form. Also remember to use complete sentences, proper grammar, and capitalization. This is not a text message board.

Critical thinking 1:

Principles of Management

Reference: MGT490-Book-Chapter No-01 (The Exceptional Manager)

This chapter has introduced you to how Henry Mintzberg changed the perception of a manager's role by studying how they spent their working day and classifying managerial activities into decisional, interpersonal and informational roles. This gave a new insight into the activities involved in being a manager but did not distinguish between the things that people called ‘manager’ do that contribute to the management of the organisation (such as coordination and control) from the things they do that everyone in an organisation does (such as talking to other people). In this context, the earlier contribution of Fayol in outlining the main purposes of management is considered to still be of relevance, although it provides limited understanding of how managerial jobs are affected by the environment in which managers work.

you will need to do further research beyond reading the chapter.

Two Phrases That Indicate Your Boss Is Not Listening To You

One of the biggest predictors of whether an employee will be engaged at work is the extent to which they feel like their boss listens to them. But sadly, we’ve all had (or are having) the experience of a boss who doesn’t listen to us. And I’m not talking about really blatant situations (e.g. they literally turn away from us or roll their eyes), but rather those situations in which the boss acts like they’re listening but hears nothing we say.

I recently witnessed just such a case. An executive, let’s call him “Pat,” was holding a town hall meeting to discuss the company’s recent, and disappointing, employee engagement survey results. About 40 employees showed up to the meeting. He kicked things off by saying, “Welcome, everybody. As you know, I’m having this meeting today because I want to hear your concerns directly. I’m here to listen about your issues with your supervisors, so fire away.”

One employee raised his hand first and said, “With the recent cost-cutting, I think we’ve all got concerns about whether we’re going to have jobs next year.” Pat quickly responded, “Oh, I hear you. You think you’ve got problems? At least your wages are ones that other companies will pay. But I’m the VP and I’m over 50, so when you combine my high salary with my age, I’m going to have a really tough time finding a job. But hey, life’s not fair, right?”

Then another employee raised their hand. “I actually have a different concern. My supervisor tells me that I’m supposed to bring her any suggestions for improvement, but when I do, it’s like she doesn’t listen to me.” Pat responded, “I know how that feels, but I don’t want you to worry, because those feelings will pass and you will get over it.”

The Integration Plan Assignment asked you to choose a technology to implement into your instructional environment and to outline a series of important considerations related to the integration. For this assignment, you'll have the opportunity to actually use the technology tool you've chosen to develop a sample piece of instructional material. Consider this prototype as if would become a sample that you could share with your organizational leaders as they consider your integration plan. Realistically, both of these pieces (the plan and your prototype) can become valuable pieces of your professional portfolio.

Instructions

- Choose an actual piece of instructional content that you would deliver using the technology tool you chose for the Integration Plan Assignment. This should be a brief unit (or a section of a unit), approximately 5-10 minutes of instructional material.
- Create an account or acquire access to your chosen instructional technology tool so that you can create your instructional materials.
- Develop a working prototype of your instructional unit using the tool you've selected. If you've chosen a hardware tool or an assistive or supporting technology, you may need to think creatively about how you will capture your instructional unit as a prototype. For example, you could consider screen recording the use of an app on an iPad, video recording the use of a wearable device, etc.
- Once you've created your prototype, please ensure that you're able to share the materials with others. Many web-based technologies offer a "Share" link, or else you can submit a video recording or other artifact as needed. Please ensure that any link sharing settings have been enabled correctly so that we are able to view your prototype.

Recruitment and retention of health care professionals is always challenging. It seems that staffing needs always outpace the supply of professionals. However, successful health care organizations do find a way to identify the right people, select them, hire them, onboard them, and retain them over time.

As a director of human resources for your own hospital, how will you plan for successful recruitment and retention of staff? What will be the key elements of your plan? Create a recruitment and retention plan. In your plan, please describe:

- the process for budgeting,
- recruitment, and
- selection and hiring of staff members.

Finally, explain how effective onboarding improves staff retention and reduces overall costs.

Use this Recruitment and Retention Plan Samples document as a reference only for the assignment. Your Recruitment and Retention Plan is not required to look this way, but this example source may give you ideas on the information needed to fulfill the requirements of this assignment.

Your plan should be two to three pages in length. You must include three sources; one of which should be from the CSU Online Library. Students may find this How to Find Journal Articles video tutorial useful. Some relevant databases for HCA searching are ABI/INFORM Collection, Business Source Ultimate, and Health & Medical Collection. These databases can be found through the Databases box on the library homepage.

Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. APA formatting, however, is not necessary.

Include a cover page and 1-2 pages of reflection regarding what new learnings you've taken away from the week's activities, readings, videos, and other information you found noteworthy. In particular, give consideration to making adjustments to implemented strategies from a previous quarter of operations. Your journal should reflect the importance of being able to effectively analyze outcomes of previous business quarters and making adjustments.

Learning Outcomes

This week students will:

- Demonstrate the ability to balance managing for the short-term and leading for the long-term to ensure you not only meet and/or exceed your financial targets within your budget/plan but are creating shareholder value for the long-term.
- Prepare quarterly decisions.
- Prepare Quarterly Business Review (QBR).
- Demonstrate your ability to adjust the strategies of your employer.

Introduction

Managers of businesses small and large implement plans with financial and production targets on a quarter by quarter basis. In Week 3 adjustments to your plan will need to be made. The goal is to stay within budget while controlling expenses. Week 3 begins the Quarter 2 of HISCO operations. You will now be able to gauge how well your strategy is working by the results that were generated in Quarter 1. It is normal to make adjustments in order to maintain or increase the profitability of the company and to remain competitive. Also in Week 3 greater attention will be given to the importance of aligning all strategies with overall goals for business operations. Most businesses have strategies that drive their marketing mix. In particular businesses operate off of product strategies, pricing strategies, promotional strategies and location related strategies. These strategies should help to create value. Knowing when a strategy is good is one of the key to having a highly competitive company.

How would you describe the journey of Christianity from the time of Jesus to a religion that conquered the Roman empire? What were the big challenges and obstacles that the religion had to overcome? Who were some of the important people and events that helped that happen? Finally, give your overall impression and evaluation of the movement. What good and bad conclusions can be drawn from their journey? (Think about what it took for the early Christians to face down persecution and emperors, but also what changes would take place in a religion as it moved from a persecuted minority to a ruling majority). Does understanding Christianity’s past, have anything to say to Christians today?

-A good paper will be well written, with a clear introduction and incorporate people and events discussed in class, before offering unique and personal conclusions.

HLT 4310 – Project Assignment 5

At this point in the project, you’ve done all the background research for your intervention; you’ve identified your priority population and health concern, created project goals and objectives, selected the theory or model used to support your intervention, and developed intervention activities to achieve the project goal. Now, you will actually create a portion of your intervention itself!

Select one of the four intervention activities that you developed in Project Assignment 4 and create the intervention activity. For example, if one of your intervention activities was a lecture, you will create the actual presentation with notes to accompany that activity. If your intervention includes a cooking component on healthy eating, you will create the recipes and provide step-by-step instructions for the activity. If your intervention includes an informative brochure, you will create that brochure. Remember that your activity must be compelling enough to increase knowledge and, in turn, change the behaviors and ideas of the participants.

In addition to the activity, please provide a description of the activity and how the activity is supported by all the background research you’ve done and the theory/model you have chosen.

Value: 100 points

- Submit a 3-page analysis (5 pages total with Title Page and References) of an article that cites an example of unethical behavior as related to corporate or an individual’s behavior in the use of technology/data or unethical manipulation of such. Your analysis should include a summary of the article, your analysis of the ethical problem presented in the article, and how the topic relates to a biblical world view. The ethical problem should be clearly stated. Do not assume that your summary makes the ethical problem self-evident.
- Article Selection: It is recommended that you choose a topic that is related to your major; however, the topic must incorporate technology. This should be a specific event, not an article such as “Five Ways Companies are Unethical with Data”. Such an article may be a good starting place but will not be sufficient for this assignment. The article will be current - from within the past 3 years. You can likely find an example from as recent as this week/month. As this may be a news article, be sure that you are using a valid source of news. You should find multiple sources reporting the same information to ensure that your assessment of the reporting is accurate. Feel free to cite from these additional sources as well as your main article.
- Biblical Worldview: You will include at least two biblical references in your analysis.
- Use APA format, including in-text citations and a reference page.Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.

Lily is a 20-year-old student at the local community college. When some of her friends and classmates told her about an outbreak of flu-like symptoms sweeping her campus during the past 2 weeks, Lily figured she shouldn't take her 3-day sore throat lightly. Your clinic has treated a few cases similar to Lily's. All the patients reported decreased appetite, headaches, and pain with swallowing. As Lily recounts these symptoms to you, you notice that she has a runny nose and a slight hoarseness in her voice but doesn't sound congested.

In this Case Study Assignment, you consider case studies of abnormal findings from patients in a clinical setting. You determine what history should be collected from the patients, what physical exams and diagnostic tests should be conducted, and formulate a differential diagnosis with several possible conditions.
